I know this may sound like a dumb question, but I’m going to ask it anyway. Does anyone know what the name of these flowers is? I know I’ve been told before, but for the life of me can’t remember. I was too embarrassed to ask the florist, since I’m pretty sure it’s a common name that I should know. My daughter has lovingly dubbed them the “asparagus flowers”, since the stalks look like asparagus before the flowers bloom. I’ll send the first person to tell me the proper name a 4×6 print of this image. Just leave your email in your comment so I can get your address. Thanks!

Possibly gladiolas, or maybe hollyhocks. I could be completely wrong, though! Lovely photo.
It is a gladiolus, I just bought some the other day at Whole Foods–they are beautiful!
