Just in case you may have thought I was exaggerating a bit in my last post when I used the word “dilemma” to describe the candy situation in our house, I offer you “Exhibit A” as proof.
Yup, and this was taken after three days of gorging! Oh, and in a pathetic attempt to redeem myself a little, the Easter Bunny did not bring all of this candy. The Easter Bunny knows that two children could never possibly need all of this candy. My parents on the other hand, do not care. Remember my saying, “Bribe them with candy, it works every time”? Who do you think bestowed such knowledge on me? My parents have become masters of this. Mind you this was not the case when I was a child, but since they have become grandparents, they could care less about things like cavities, upset stomachs and sugar highs!
Just look at all of those Hershey Kisses! The red ones by the way are Cherry Cordial Kisses, I’m not a big fan of cherry cordials but I highly recommend trying these if you are. They aren’t too sweet like most cordials and of course they are wrapped in Hershey chocolate which makes everything taste better. And by-the-way, you can stop eyeballing the M&M’s, those are mine!
So why am I telling you all this? Because I want to share this yummy recipe I found with you. These are Hershey’s Hugs and Kisses Crescents. I found the recipe on the Hershey site. You simply roll a few Kisses up into a crescent dinner roll, bake and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Then sit back and graciously accept all the compliments that are sure to come your way! This would be perfect for Mother’s Day brunch. Seriously, it’s a pastry filled with chocolate…brilliant!

Oh my Gosh! I don’t think i have ever seen that much candy outside a candy aisle at the supermarket!!
Your sugar shock is going to last for months

I can vouch for that… our parents were not like that when we were growing up. Like Bill Cosby said, ‘these are just old people trying to get into heaven’.
hmmm… are those peanut M&Ms?, you may have to defend them if they are!
