After being encouraged by my sister to use my camera, I decided to go out into my backyard and take some pictures. Of course, it was raining yesterday and although I don’t think it was good for the camera, it sure was good for taking pictures.
The overcast helps makes the color of these begonia’s deeper and more vibrant, and the rain drops add a bit of shimmer to the flower.
These are hosta leaves. Again, the overcast helps the camera capture a real lush green color and the rain makes the leaves shine nicely.
I love the way light looks when it’s filtering through objects, like my arbor with grapevines on it and the lilac bush in our back yard.
I couldn’t resist photographing these grapevine curls. Doesn’t the one look like a hand with a curling finger gesturing to come here?

So pretty, I love that green hosta! I didn’t see that little curling finger gesture until you pointed it out… it does look like a hand saying ‘come hither’!!
